The Mercedes Benz G-Glass is back in Right Hand Drive
26.04.10
It is the unique timeless look and distinctive design which sets the G-Class apart from the crowd, and it has created a strong following of motorists looking for a luxury and very exclusive SUV. The virtually limitless off-road capability of the G-Class and its practicality as an everyday vehicle have also helped the vehicle to achieve sales of over 200,000 units worldwide since 1979.
Dermot Kelly, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars said: “Despite G-Class being the longest-serving passenger car series in the history of Mercedes-Benz, we are delighted to welcome it as a ‘new model’ in right hand drive for UK customers. The long wheelbase version in particular blends style, technology, practicality, impeccable build quality and unbeatable off-road credentials in a shape that is as seductive today as it was when originally launched”.
Customers will be able to choose between the G 350 CDI which produces 221 hp and returns 25.7 mpg, and the range topping G 55 AMG KOMPRESSOR, which produces 500 hp and reaches 0-62 mph in 5.5 seconds.

Disadvantages of Online Auto Insurance
Recently, more and more people have begun shopping for car insurances online . It has turned out to be an easy way out for those who don’t actually have the time to go around and research on the various automotive insurance options available in the market. Online shopping for car insurances helps save a lot of time, money and effort and hence it has become very popular, especially of late. Though purchasing a car insurance cover policy on the net may have many advantages, it also has its share of shortcomings and this article will focus on the latter.
The most important disadvantage of online buying is the fact that it is not necessary that one will always receive everything that one is promised. Every website selling car insurance policy covers guarantees excellent rates, economical premiums and extensive policy covers, but it is not always what one gets and the actual product might be way different from what has been assured. Many companies talk of peerless policy covers and unbeatable rates but when the time comes to process the information and commence the policy initiation proceedings, the companies will not be anywhere close to being as fast or as efficient as was promised.
Another concern is that the claims listed on the website and the actual ones that are being offered might be very different or might even come with various additional clauses. A potential policy holder will thus eventually lose out on a lot of time, money and effort that he did not want to invest on the first place and which is what prompted him to go for an online deal. One will have to run around later trying to solve unexpected problems in the process due to hidden clauses and this defeats the whole purpose of trying to save time by opting to shop on the web.
Many of these online policy sellers also talk of excellent after-sales services, but they may not have offices all across the country. So when a problem occurs, the policy holder may not always have the luxury of going to a nearby branch of the company, as the company might not have a local branch. As most people already know; e-mails, letters, phone calls and faxes may not be the most successful or efficient ways to resolve dilemmas and obtain results in a short span of time.
