EMPC2007 is organised by IMAPS, the International Microelectronics And Packaging Society, a non-profit global organisation. IMAPS Nordic is the main organiser but IMAPS Europe, www.imapseurope.org, is co-sponsor. IMAPS North America is a kind of head office but IMAPS Europe is an independent organisation. Also in most Asian countries independent IMAPS chapters are found.

IMAPS main activity is knowledge dissemination about microelectronics, manufacturing, materials, processes, design and reliability. All events are open for everybody but members of an IMAPS Chapter get reduced registration fees at IMAPS events.
